Anthony Emtman

Founder & CEO

Background Story

Building Trust

Anthony was raised on a 5th-generation family farm in Valleyford, Washington. In 1887, his great-great-grandfather homesteaded the land under a deed signed by Grover Cleveland. Today, 137 years later, that farm has grown to over 13,000 acres. Growing up, Anthony learned that building things that last means thinking in generations, not quarters. You build systems that compound.

He has carried that builder’s ethos through a career defined by relentless execution. While a cadet at the Air Force Academy, he launched an interstate trucking company. While serving as an active duty officer, he co-founded a Techstars startup, built a 15-door real estate portfolio, earned his Masters from Georgetown, started his hedge fund Ikigai, ... He believes action is the antidote to anxiety. If you want something built, you don’t wait for permission. You start.

He founded Pathize to solve the crisis of modern coordination. He believes that bureaucracy is just a slow, analog attempt to manufacture trust. His mission is to replace that friction with infrastructure, giving people the confidence they are on the right path so they can do the best work of their lives.

Professional Experience

Pathize || Founder & CEO

Anthony is building PathOS, an operating system designed to solve The Velocity Paradox. He saw companies scaling by replacing trust with bureaucracy, slowing down their best people. He refused to accept that trade-off. He architected Pathize to turn institutional values into executable infrastructure, allowing organizations to move with the velocity of a startup and the governance and wisdom of a 100-year-old firm.

Ikigai Asset Management || Founder & CEO

As CEO of a $250M crypto hedge fund, Anthony navigated one of the world’s most chaotic markets. He served as the firm’s operational architect—handling legal, operations, and investor trust. In an industry defined by volatility, he proved that rigorous systems are a competitive advantage. He learned that when the stakes are highest, trust is an engineered outcome.

U.S. Air Force || Captain, Contracting Officer and Software Engineer

Anthony spent 10 years on active duty. He lived the friction Pathize solves:

The Engineer: Frustrated by bureaucratic inefficiency, he taught himself to code and built full-stack systems to automate the friction away.

The Steward: As a licensed Contracting Officer, he managed the $3BN Boeing Wideband Global SATCOM program. He learned the weight of public obligation and how to move massive projects forward within rigid constraints.

Entrepreneurial Ventures || Techstars Alum & Founder

Anthony has been building businesses for decades, operating at the intersection of code and capital.

MARK Labs (Barclays Techstars): Co-Founder & Technical Lead. He built the full software stack and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for a fintech solution serving philanthropic enterprises.

Jogg (Disney Techstars): CFO. He re-engineered corporate infrastructure to create multi-million dollar tax efficiencies, proving that operational architecture drives value as much as product innovation.

Early Ventures: From launching a trucking company as a student to renovating multifamily real estate while on active duty, Anthony has always been a hands-on builder.
